Duties :    Coordinates the design, development and delivery of Advanced Manufacturing Technology training programs.   Our primary objective is to prepare maintenance technicians for advanced technology designed for the plant floor.  This objective is accomplished by expanding their existing  knowledge with topics such as PLC’s, VFD Drives, Networks, Smart Sensors and Robotics, and then applying that new knowledge to troubleshoot and improve complex control systems using Mechatronic Machines and Automated Process Control systems.  Travel within Georgia will be necessary.  Qualifications :  A minimum of a four-year instructional design degree or technical degree *and* five years of designing manufacturing based technology curriculum.   Instructional system design knowledge/experience required, to include training needs analysis, course design and material development for interactive classroom-based learning.  Qualified applicants will have expertise and training development experience in advanced manufacturing technology disciplines such as machine and batch process, operation, control and troubleshooting.  Preferred Qualifications:   (In addition to minimum qualifications) A Master’s degree in engineering or instructional technology. Experience with Kuka, Kawasaki or Fanuc robots, and Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi Electric, or Siemens PLC controllers is preferred.  The following are a plus: Experience managing successful program development work teams. Experience applying Augmented or Virtual Reality training systems. Six Sigma certification.

Responsibilities :   Duties will include assistance with training operations, performing training needs assessments, training material design and performance based instruction.  The Training Specialist will work with the Director and other staff members to evaluate and standardize business processes and tools in order to ensure quality of instructional service delivery.  Other duties include assisting the Director with special projects, preparing operational reports, and conducting training research.  Travel within Georgia and occasional travel outside of Georgia and the United States may be necessary.   Our primary objective is preparing maintenance technicians to support advanced technology on the plant floor. This objective is accomplished by expanding their existing electrical and mechanical knowledge with topics such as PLC’s, VFD Drives, Control Networks, Smart Sensors and Robotics, and then applying that new knowledge to trouble shoot and improve machine and batch process control systems using mechatronic training systems.   Qualifications :   An Associate degree in a related field *OR* three years of experience in planning, developing, delivering, or evaluating training programs or academic instruction.  Preferred Qualifications :  A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field *and* Five years of experience in an advanced manufacturing position such as manufacturing engineer, quality assurance technician or manufacturing maintenance technician applying Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) *and* (3) Three years designing manufacturing based technology curriculum. Instructional system design knowledge/experience required, to include training needs analysis, course design and material development for interactive classroom-based learning.  Experience with Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi Electric, or Siemens PLC controllers, and/or KUKA, ABB or FANUC robots, and experience working on successful Six Sigma or Lean work teams is an added plus.

Quality Control inspector needed for an AS9100 registered Aerospace Machine Shop.  Qualified candidate will have had at least 2 years of experience in the field of mechanical inspection and be familiar with the following areas of inspection: Use of inspection gauging / instruments (Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gage) General familiarity with a machine shop environment incorporating CNC machines along with manual machines. Strong shop math skills (decimals, geometry, calculations with right triangles) Good communication skills (both written and verbal) Attention to detail and record keeping Solid work history with verifiable references        Additional skills beneficial for the prospective candidate: Familiarity with aerospace standards (Lockheed, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney) Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing experience a plus Familiarity with CMM and/or Portable CMM (ROMER) operation is a plus. ASQ Certification (Mechanical Inspector, Quality Technician, Quality Inspector) is a plus This position involves working to customer supplied engineering documents.  The environment can be fast paced as the company provides machining for multiple industries including aerospace, automotive, medical, and firearms simulation.  This job is well suited for an individual that has moved beyond the initial experiences in working in a job shop environment as an inspector and is ready for a challenge growing in this profession.
